Srirasmi Suwadee is one of the most popular and richest Lady-In-Waiting who was born on December 9, 1971 in Samut Songkhram Province, Thailand. Then, in November of 2009, a video from the home of the couple was released that showed Vajiralongkorn and Srirasmi, who is not wearing a top, enjoying the day of his prince’s dog pet. Media reports said the video was a sign of the lavish lifestyle that the couple enjoys.
On February 14, 2005, the news was reported that Srirasmi was expecting. On the 29th of April, 2005 the baby boy named Dipangkorn Rasmijoti was born via caesarean section at Siriraj Hospital. In the wake of her baby’s birth, the mother was awarded By the King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the title “Princess of Thailand” and was referred to as “Her Royal Highness” as the queen’s consort to Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn. A royal ceremony, dubbed “Phra Ratchaphithi Somphot Duean Lae Khuen Phra U,” to commemorate the birth for the infant was conducted on the 17th of June 2005 at Ananta Samakhom Throne Hall in Bangkok.
Srirasmi was married to the crown prince of Thailand on the 10th of February, 2001, in a private ceremony in the palace of the prince Nonthaburi Palace. The public was made aware of the wedding shortly after the ceremony. He previously been married twice, and who has children from his former wives, announced that it was his plan to get married: “I am now 50 years old and think I should have a complete family.” Following the wedding, Srirasmi was referred to as mom Srirasmi Mahidol Na Ayudhya (Mahidol is the name that was given to King Bhumibol Adulyadej and King Aruna Mahidol. The name na Ayudhya refers to not-titled descendents of the Chakri Dynasty and their spouses).
A letter asking for Srirasmi’s family to be stripped of their royal name was sent to the interior ministry in November 2014. The letter was sent by her husband, Crown Prince Vajiralongkorn, after allegations of corruption against seven of her relatives. On 11 December 2014, the Royal Thai Government Gazette announced that Srirasmi relinquished her royal title, presumably due to the corruption affairs that involved her family. Srirasmi was granted a payment of 200 million baht (US$6 million) by Maha Vajiralongkorn in exchange for her relinquishment. The money was paid out of the Crown Property Bureau, as confirmed by the Ministry of Finance.
