Sayyid Mojtaba Khamenei (Persian, syd mjtby Hsyny khmnhy – born 8 September 1969), is a son Ali Khamenei. Between 1980 and 1988, he was involved in the Iran-Iraq War Operations. He reportedly also took control of Basij militia, which was used to suppress protests against the 2009 election.
Mojtaba is a teacher of theology at the Qom seminary. He was a member of the Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and he supported Ahmadinejad during the 2005 and 2009 presidential election.
