David Mitchell is one of the most popular and richest Comedian who was born on July 14, 1974 in Salisbury, England, United Kingdom. English stand up comedian and half of the comedy duo Mitchell and Webb, alongside Robert Webb. He is best known for starring in and writing the Channel 4 series Peep Show, for which he won the British Academy Television Award for Best Comedy Performance in 2009.
He has performed with Robert Webb on several comedy programs, including Peep Show, The Mitchell and Webb Situation, That Mitchell and Webb Sound and That Mitchell and Webb Look.
Mitchell was born in Salisbury, Wiltshire, England, to Ian Douglas Mitchell and Kathryn Grey Mitchell (née Hughes), who then worked as hotel managers. In 1977, when Mitchell was two years old, his parents gave up their jobs to lecture in hotel management, and to look after him. He attended Napier House Primary School. He is the elder of two boys; when David was seven and a half years old, his brother Daniel was born. The family moved to Oxford, where Mitchell’s parents became lecturers at Oxford Polytechnic, now Oxford Brookes University. Mitchell attended New College School, which is an independent preparatory school in the city. In a 2006 interview with The Independent, Mitchell stated his childhood dreams:
Mitchell was in his first year at university when he met Robert Webb during rehearsals for a Footlights production of Cinderella, in 1993, and the two men soon established a comedy partnership. According to Mitchell, these factors had a detrimental effect on his academic performance at university and he attained a 2:2 in his final exams.
He got married to Victoria Coren in 2012. They had a daughter named Barbara in May 2015. He has a brother, Daniel, and his parents were hotel managers.
